Tournament MVP Hand Named Player of the Week
WHITINGHAM, VT – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its final weekly honors for the 2013 men's soccer season and Thomas' Michael Hand was selected as player of the week.
Tourney MVP Hand had four goals and two assists in the playoffs to help lead Thomas to their second consecutive NAC Championship. In the quarterfinal round against Husson, notched the first goal of the game in the 3-1 victory. During the semifinal round at top-seeded Castleton Hand scored both of the Terrier goals in the 2-0 win. In the finals assisted on the first two goals of the game and put in the third himself to help secure Thomas' third championship in four years.
This is the second time in his career that Hand has been named the NAC Tournament MVP, also garnering the award during his freshman season in 2010.
Thomas will await their destination for the first round of the 2013 NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Tournament today at 1:00 PM.
