DUDLEY, Mass. – Nichols College senior Scott Palmerino (Southbridge, Mass.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Palmerino scored both goals in the Bison's 2-1 win over previously unbeaten and nationally-ranked Gordon Friday night at Vendetti Field. The Fighting Scots entered the contest with a perfect 10-0-0 mark on the season (3-0-0 CCC), but fell behind 1-0 on Palmerino's team-leading fifth goal of the season 20 minutes into the first half.

After Gordon tied the match with in the 81st minute, Palmerino netted the game-winner with less than three minutes remaining to break the tie and give the Bison just their third win in 22 all-time meetings with the Fighting Scots (3-16-3). Palmerino leads Nichols in goals (six) and points (13).

Palmerino becomes the second Bison honored by the CCC this year. Junior Jeremy Nash (West Springfield, Mass.) was named Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16 following a pair of shutouts.

The Bison (6-1-3, 3-1-0 CCC) host Salem State Wednesday at 4 p.m.
