Gaumond Named ECAC All-Star

More news about: Nichols men's team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. — Nichols College senior midfielder Pat Gaumond (Holden, Mass.) has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Men's Soccer All-Star Second Team.

Gamound played more of a defensive midfield for the Bison this year. He racked up seven points (3-1-7) in 18 matches – including a pair of goals in a win against Salem State in early October.

Roger Williams University senior Trevor Hoxsie (Scarborough, Maine) was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year and Western New England University senior Kevin Parma (Peconic, N.Y.) was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Year.

Joining Hoxsie and Parma on the first team were Gordon's Caleb Cole (midfielder), Trevor Hinshaw (defender), and Andrew Vandervoort (forward). Fighting Scot teammate Kellen Kasiguran (midfielder), Roger Williams defender Rich Pomeroy, University of New England goalkeeper Aidan McParland, and Western New England forward Jake Bartnik all joined Gaumond on the second team.

Nichols finished the 2013 campaign 12-2-5 (6-1-2 CCC) and was eliminated in double-overtime at Western New England in the conference semifinals.
