Leopards edge Bison, 4-3
DUDLEY Mass. – Graduate Student Ryan Banker (Ashaway, R.I.) notched a goal and an assist for the Nichols College men's soccer team, which was clipped by Wentworth 4-3 Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Nichols Soccer Field.
Senior Paul Sickinger (Suffield, Conn.) and junior Gregory Giglio (Deer Park, N.Y.) also scored for the Bison while junior Cole Houghton (Gorham, Maine) picked up an assist.
The Leopards held a 23-16 edge in shots – including 14-9 in the second half – as they scored twice in the final 9:06 to turn a 3-2 deficit into a one-goal win. Junior Noah Martins (Dartmouth, Mass.) tied the match with his first of the season at 81:54 before senior Ryan Reid (Columbia, S.C.) netted what proved to be the game-winner with 4:10 to go.
Junior Patrick Porpora (Westminster, Mass.) made 10 saves for NC while junior Matthew Sekerak (Winthrop, Maine) turned aside nine shots to earn his second win of 2017.

Today's match marked the 35th all-time meeting between Wentworth and Nichols College. The Leopards have won the last three matches and lead the series, 22-13-0.
