Nichols defeats Curry on Senior Day
Recap
Senior Gregory Giglio and junior Chris Noga each recorded a goal and an assist in Nichols College's 4-1 win over Curry College Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Vendetti Field.
The Bison (10-3-1, 2-2-1 CCC) got on the board first when Giglio took a feed from Noga and fired home a shot from 20 yards out to put the Bison up 1-0. Less than three minutes later, the Colonels (6-8-1, 0-5-0 CCC) were awarded a penalty kick, and junior Mitchell Forbes put it past senior goaltender Patrick Porpora to tie the match at one.
Nichols answered back with three more first-half goals from Noga, freshman Evan Lemoine, and senior Cole Houghton. Houghton's goal came on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute and extended the Bison lead to 4-1 before halftime.

-With today's win, it marks the first time the Bison have won 10 games in a season since 2014, when they won the CCC Championship.
-Porpora recorded six saves in his last regular season home match.
Quote
"Today we played for our seniors. Our jersey's represented those who either won, lost or are battling cancer. Our student-athletes represented Senior Day and cancer awareness with a great deal of pride and determination. We came out playing quick, attacking soccer, and we got the result we needed. We look forward to a day of rest and then we will prepare for UNE on Saturday." -Nichols head coach Chris Traina
