Baruch Defeats York in High-Scoring Contest (4-3)

Four different Bearcats scored to record an exciting 4-3 CUNYAC home win against the Cardinals of York College on Wednesday evening at Randall's Island Field #10.

With the result, the Bearcats improve to 3-0 (9 points) in the CUNYAC standings in a first place tie with Lehman College.

The visiting Cardinals struck first in the 34th minute, but an Andy Figueroa unassisted goal right before the halftime whistle leveled the matched.

The Bearcats took control at the start of the second half as Cormac Foley scored his fifth goal of the season just 85 seconds into play.

The Cardinals' Marvin Mondesir scored his second goal of the match in the 57th minute to tie the match 2-2.

The Bearcat quickly regroup with goals in the 63rd (Austin Tucker) and 65th (Luis Munoz) minutes to jump ahead 4-2 during a heavy rain downpour.

York did manage to cut the score 4-3 as Mondesir completed a hat-trick with a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

The match would end 4-3 with the Bearcats attempting a season-high 29 shots.
