Late Goal Clinches 2-1 Baruch Road Win at Brooklyn
For the second straight match, the Bearcats suffered the opening goal against them, but they still bounced back to record the CUNYAC win.
The Bearcats defeated the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Brooklyn College Athletic Complex.
The Bulldogs scored first in the 52n minute on a penalty kick by Alex Sosa, but the Bearcats quickly responded just five minutes later with Shaiem Allah Morad tying it on a perfectly placed through ball that fooled the defense by Cormac Foley.
The two teams battled for the go-ahead goal, but the visiting Bearcats took care of business with the winning goal with five minutes left. Adonis Martinez scored unassisted from the top of the box to help keep the team undefeated in CUNYAC play at 4-0.
The two teams were nearly identical in shots and goalkeeper Kellen Sela came up big again with five saves.
