William Paterson Takes Out Baruch (2-0)
The Pioneers from William Paterson University scored a goal in each half to defeat the Bearcats, 2-0, on Monday afternoon at Randall's Island Field #10.
The visiting Pioneers scored their first in the 29th minute on a Nick Bogado strike in the box. He sent in a corner kick, that was cleared by the defense, but the ball came right to him to attempt the shot for the goal.
The Bearcats fell behind 2-0 in the 52nd minute on a penalty kick goal by Jordan Saling.
The penalty kick goal was the fourth scored this season against the Bearcats in the past six matches.
The Bearcats attempted nine shots in the tough loss. Shaiem Allah Morad led the team with three shots attempts.
GK Kellen Sela notched six saves.
