Hunter Takes Out Baruch (4-3)\
A late rally by the Baruch College Bearcats fell just short 4-3 in a CUNYAC contest on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island Field #10.
The visiting Hawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead after 21 minutes of play, but Cormac Foley cut the score to 2-1 towards the end of the first half.
The Hawks kept control in the second half with Sammy Ahmed (59:08) and Jesus Patino Muniz (67:33) each scoring their second goals of the match to build up a 4-1 advantage.
The Bearcats would not go away quietly with Foley scoring again in the 69th minute and a late PK by Ricardo Llanos in the final minute to get as close as 4-3.
Unfortunately, time ran out to suffer the team's first conference loss of the season.
The Bearcats narrowly out-shot the Hawks, 16-15, in an exciting high-scoring contest between the two rivals.
