Lehman Downs Baruch in Double OT (1-0)
The Baruch College Bearcats Bearcats traveled to take on the Lightning of Lehman College in a battle for first place in the CUNYAC on Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
The defenses for both teams held up strong as the match went to double overtime scoreless.
Lehman out-shot the Bearcats 24 to 6 with nine shots on goal.
However, in the end, Lehman scored off a one-timer in the box in the 106th minute by Christian Rodriguez with the assist by Troy Callahan.
Defender Michael Grald led the Bearcats with three shots. GK Kellen Sela had another solid match in front of the goal with a season-high eight saves.
The Bearcats fall to 4-2 in the CUNYAC standings.
They will next return to action on Wednesday, October 16, against the College of Staten Island on "Bearcats Appreciation Day" at Randall's Island Field #10. Kick off against Staten Island is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
