Hardin-Simmons Finishes Regular Season Undefeated

ABILENE, Texas — Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team completed an undefeated regular season with a 9-0 win over LeTourneau in American Southwest Conference action at the HSU Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The Cowgirls honored their seven seniors before the game and all seven got the start. HSU scored four goals in the first 19 minutes of the game to put the game away.

Megan Ryan scored at the 9:00 mark on a Brittany Vacca assist. Sarah Stansell then assisted on three straight goals. Katie Kuykendall had the first at 11:54, Ryan had the next one :25 later and Amy Kuykendall scored at the 18:59 mark of the mark half.

Miranda Bersosa, Kelsey Byars, Becca Gault, Jessica Stuckey and Danielle Roadcap all had second half goals.

Rebecca Roth and Haley Martin split halves in goal, but LeTourneau did not have a shot in the entire game. HSU outshot them 27-0 and 13-0 on goal.

HSU finished the regular season with a record of 17-0 and finished the ASC with a 13-0 mark. HSU will play in the American Southwest Conference Tournament semifinals at 11 a.m. on Saturday. HSU will host the tournament that begins on Friday. HSU has a first round bye. The pairings will be announced on Sunday.
