Cadets Win Fifth Straight GNAC Game With 2-0 Victory Over Mount Ida
NEWTON, Mass. – The women's soccer Cadets won their fifth straight GNAC contest on Wednesday at Mount Ida, defeating the Mustangs 2-0 on the road.
Norwich (11-5, 8-3 GNAC) jumped to an early lead in the first half as senior Karissa Doyon took an unassisted shot from the six-yard box and placed it right in the upper corner of the net.
Freshman Baylie Lamarre sealed the deal with a second-half goal, scoring in similar fashion as Doyon finding the upper right corner of the net on an unassisted play.
Senior Alexia Wright made seven saves to move to a 5-4 record in net.
The Cadets move on to their final home game of the season where they will host Suffolk University at 2:30 p.m.
