PITTSBURGH, Pa.--Five different players scored for the Hood College women's soccer team (4-6) in a 5-0 shutout over the Chatham University Cougars (2-6) Saturday afternoon in nonconference action.

Hood set the tone early, notching a pair of goals within the first 10 minutes. Senior Katherine Rendon and junior Aimee Smith recorded their first tallies of the season 1:51 apart. Junior Jamie Bingaman then knocked in a rebound in the 29th minute for her first score of the fall and third of her career as the Blazers took a 3-0 lead into the break.

Bingaman set up senior Cara Jordan in the 66th minute to give the Blazers a 4-0 lead and less than three minutes later, first-year Kierianne Lupari posted her first collegiate assist when she fed junior Carlie Colella to cap the scoring.

Junior Kirsten Cacciola earned the start and picked up her first shutout of the season, making five saves in the contest. Hood outshot the Cougars, 35-7, forcing Chatham's keeper Lauren Strang to stay on her toes throughout the afternoon. Strang finished with a remarkable 17 saves in defeat.

Hood returns home for the first time since Sept. 9 when the Blazers host Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University at 4:30 p.m.
