Edgewood College’s Santaga snatches NSCAA All-Central Region honor
NSCAA All-Central Region women's soccer team
MADISON, Wis. - Edgewood College sophomore Kristina Santaga was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's All-Central Region team. Santaga was voted to the 11-member third team in her first season playing for the Eagles.
Santaga, a native of Green Bay, Wis., transferred from NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and immediately became an offensive threat for Edgewood College. Santaga scored 13 goals and seven assists in 20 games for the Eagles. She scored goals in six of the first nine games of her Edgewood College career, including a season-high four goals against Concordia University Chicago.
Sanataga, a first team All-Northern Athletics Conference selection, was one of six NAC players to be named the All-Central Region team. The Eagles finished third in the NAC this season with a 15-5-1 record, including a 9-3 mark in conference play.
