Olson Goal Leads Devils to Eighth Shutout Win
(Selinsgrove, Pa.) – Junior midfielder Genevieve Olson (Quincy, Mass./Thayer Academy) tallied the only two shots on goal for the Dickinson College women's soccer team on Monday night, but it proved to be enough as one found the back of the net in the Devils' 1-0 win at Susquehanna.
Olson tallied the game's only goal with just 11:05 remaining in the first half. The Red Devils finished with a slim advantage in shots, 12-10, while Susquehanna had the edge in corners, 4-2.
Sophomore goaltender Annie Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) made four saves to post her sixth shutout of the season. The Red Devil defense recorded its eighth shutout of the year.
Susquehanna slips to 4-8-1 overall on the season while the Red Devils improve to 8-2-1. Dickinson returns to Centennial Conference action on Thursday, traveling for McDaniel College for a 4:00 kick-off.
