Olson Nets Lone Goal in 1-0 Win
(York, Pa.) - Junior forward Genevieve Olson (Quincy, Mass./Thayer Academy) scored the lone goal of the game to lead the Dickinson College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win at York College on Wednesday.
Olson lofted a shot from just outside the penalty area and found the right corner of the net in the 60th minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper Annie Weichert (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) made some great saves, finishing with six on the afternoon.
Sarah Spanarkel made nine saves for York (0-4-1) as the Devils held a 14-11 advantage in shots.
The Red Devils (2-1-1) return home to face Moravian College on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
