Westminster (Mo.) Women Drop Season Opener On Road
The Westminster College women's soccer squad could not muster much offense in its season opener and was shut out 5-0 by host Millikin University Thursday afternoon in Decatur, Illinois.
The Blue Jays (0-1), who were outshot 35-2, trailed 2-0 at intermission. Millikin (1-0) tallied three goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half to put the match away. Sophomore Lauren Dolniak (Wildwood, Mo./Eureka) recorded one of Westminster's two shots and the lone shot on goal.
