Hanover Edges Ohio Wesleyan
Hanover's Christa Hurak scored the only goal of the gave to lift the Panthers over Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action on Saturday at Roy Rike Field.
The game's only goal came in the 30th minute. Hanover's Ashley Turner centered the ball from the left side. An Ohio Wesleyan defender headed the ball, but Hurak won the ball in the right side of the box and buried a shot from point-blank range.
Ohio Wesleyan put 2 shots on goal, getting looks from sophomore midfielder Emily Sattler and freshman forward Sam Weeks, but Panther keeper Bethann Hancock rounded up both shots.
Hanover outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 10-7. Sophomore Hannah Zacharias finished with 2 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan goal, while Hancock had 2 saves for Hanover.
