Pung Goal lifts MSOE to home conference win

Milwaukee - At the 88-minute mark, MSOE freshman forward Gabbie Pung put in a shot off an Allison Zimont pass to give the Raiders a 2-1 victory over the Concordia-Chicago Cougars at Time Warner Stadium in Milwaukee, Tuesday night.   

MSOE opened up the scoring with a strike by Paula Bohl from the top of the box, just 15 minutes into play. The Raiders kept the lead through halftime until a minute into the second stanza, when Concordia –Chicago's Elise Bicek tied the game up at one apiece.

Although MSOE outshot Concordia-Chicago 13-to-3 in the second half, MSOE could not shake the Cougars until nearly the end of regulation.

MSOE, 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play face Ripon on Thursday back at Time Warner Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
