Blue Jay Women Score First But Can’t Hold Lead
The Westminster College women's soccer team grabbed the early lead in the ninth minute of the first half, but could not hold off a second-half Lindenwood University-Belleville rally in a 4-1 loss Monday in Fulton.
The Blue Jays (0-3) got on the board early when sophomore Sarah Ogar (Mexico, Mo./Mexico) scored on an assist from sophomore Lauren Dolniak (Wildwood, Mo./Eureka). Lindenwood-Belleville (1-1) took advantage of the second half wind and used an 11-1 shot advantage to score four times for the win.
