Krebsbach Hat Trick Powers Ohio Wesleyan

Senior forward Makinzie Krebsbach tallied her first collegiate hat trick to account for all of Ohio Wesleyan's scoring in a non-conference win over Washington & Jefferson on Saturday in Washington, Pa.

The Presidents took a 1-0 lead on an unassisted goal by Cheyenne Mangold late in the first half.

Ohio Wesleyan evened the game early in the second half on an unassisted score by Krebsbach.

The Bishops took the lead less than 2 minutes later when sophomore forward Elizabeth Riggio fed the ball to Krebsbach, who converted the chance with 39:47 left in regulation time.

Krebsbach completed the hat trick with an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute.

Washington & Jefferson outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 19-12. Sophomore Hannah Zacharias (Marysville) finished with 9 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan goal, while Heather Betancourt had 6 saves for the Presidents.
