Bridgewater Opens ODAC Play With 4-0 Victory At E&H
EMORY, Va. - Bridgewater College opened its ODAC schedule Saturday afternoon with a convincing victory over Emory & Henry by a score of 4-0.
The Eagles jumped on the Wasps early with a goal in the first three minutes when Mari Marotta beat the keeper one-on-one.
Bridgewater made it 2-0 when Brittney Harris cleaned up a deflection off the E&H keeper for her first goal of the season.
The Eagles took a 3-0 lead at the half when Abby Dehoff scored off a pass from Sarah Conner.
Bridgewater added its final goal midway through the second half when Anna Theisen (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) scored off an assist from Marotta.
Four keepers shared time in goal. Lindsey McDole had both of Bridgewater's saves.
With the victory, the Eagles improve to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC
