EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka College junior goalkeeper Lindsay Coffey (Pekin, Ill./Pekin H.S.) turned in an excellent performance in goal for the second consecutive day, but Elmhurst's Morgan Geimer netted the game-winning goal in the 11th minute as part of her hat trick to lead the visiting Bluejays to a 9-0 non-conference win over the Red Devils, Sunday afternoon at Traister Field.

Geimer's goal on an assist from Valerie Wesley at the 10:22 mark of the first half got the Bluejays (4-1-0) on the board early and ignited an eight-goal outburst in the match's first 45 minutes.  She added strikes in the 19th minute and the 41st minute to complete the hat trick.

Owning an 8-0 lead at intermission, the the visitors from the College Conference of Illinois Wisconsin maintained their offensive pressure and fired 40 shots in the direction of Coffey in the final 45 minutes.  Coffey stopped 14 of Elmhurst's 15 shots on goal in the second half, while 25 of the Bluejays' shots after halftime missed the frame entirely.

Coffey finished the match with 27 saves, one shy of matching her own career-best set Saturday in the Red Devils' non-conference match against Lake Forest.  Her performance Sunday extended her own all-time Eureka save record to 256.

The Red Devils (0-6-0) will return to the pitch next Saturday when Eureka opens the 8-match St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schedule at Fontbonne.  Kickoff against the Griffins in the St. Louis suburb of Clayton, Mo. is scheduled for 6 p.m.
