UNDEFEATED NJCU WOMEN'S SOCCER REGIONALLY RANKED FOR FIRST TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY
KANSAS CITY, KS (NJCUGothicKnights.com) | In a season of firsts for the New Jersey City University women's soccer team, the Gothic Knights picked up yet another new achievement on Tuesday. For the first time in the 19-year history of the program, NJCU is regionally ranked by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
NJCU, now undefeated at 8-0-0 and 1-0-0 in the NJAC entering the week, was ranked tied for No. 10 in the NCAA Division III South Atlantic Regional rankings. The Knights were one of three undefeated teams ranked in a geographically diverse region that stretches from New Jersey to Georgia, and one of three members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference to appear in the poll.
With NJAC games this week against Ramapo College (September 21, away) and Rowan University (September 24, home), the Knights are one of just 16 undefeated teams remaining in Division III.
