TOWSON, Md. – Junior midfielder Sarah Gibbons (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) scored a goal in each half and The University of Scranton defense continued its run of strong play in a 2-0 victory over Goucher College in the Landmark Conference opener for both schools at Beldon Field on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman midfielder Lauren Hasty (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) picked up her first career assist on the play.

For Gibbons, the goals were her third and fourth of the season, tying her with sophomore forward Samantha Russo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) for the team lead in goals. Gibbons now has six career goals.
