Despite taking only eight of its 37 total shots in the second half, five different Regals scored after surrendering the goal. Nicole Rains, Will and Cameron pushed Cal Lutheran to double figures before Amanda Garcia and Mary Case each contributed the first collegiate goal of their respective careers.
Wednesday marked the second time this season Cal Lutheran has scored in double figures. The Regals defeated Texas Lutheran 10-0 back on Sept. 9 and have scored 40 times in just nine contests.
CLU goalkeeper Renee Standage earned the victory preserving a shutout through the first half of play. Counterpart Shanna Falch made six saves in the loss.
Cal Lutheran (8-1-0, 4-0-0 SCIAC) will play on the road Saturday, Oct. 1 against Pomona-Pitzer (6-2-0, 3-1-0 SCIAC) at 11 a.m.
Cal Lutheran Scores Dozen in Blowout of Whittier
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Cal Lutheran poured in a season-high scoring total in Wednesday's home contest defeating Whittier 12-1. Taylor Will netted a first half hat trick and led all players with four goals in the win.

Only 21 seconds after the opening whistle Kristin Cameron fed a pass to the left post which Will finished off for the go-ahead goal. It was the first of three first half goals from the freshman who completed her hat trick less than 18 minutes into regulation.
