UW-Whitewater Top Carroll in OT
UW-Whitewater defeated Carroll University 2-1 in overtime Sunday in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The win, Whitewater's fourth in its last five games, gives the Warhawks a 6-4-1 mark. Carroll falls to 2-5-1 on the season.
Emily Gerber, UW-W's all-time leader in goals and points, scored Whitewater's first goal, her team-leading ninth of the year. Emily Kirchoff put in the game winner in the 98th minute. It was Kirchoff's fourth goal of the season, tied for second on the team.
UW-W is 4-1-1 in its last six matches. The victory evens Whitewater's road record at 3-3-1.
Whitewater will host Augustana College Tuesday at 7:00 at Fiskum Field on the UW-W campus. Fiskum Field is west of Perkins Stadium and northwest of Williams Center/Kachel Fieldhouse. Free parking is adjacent to the field.
