RIC Wins By Forfeit

Providence, R.I.-The Rhode Island College women's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Nichols College on Tuesday afternoon via a forfeit. |

The Rhode Island College administration and Head Referee Delfim Rainho ruled that the RIC Soccer Field was playable. Nichols Head Coach Damir Pesa felt that the field was unplayable, citing safety concerns. He took his team off the field and left the college. |

|
The Anchorwomen were awarded the victory and move to 3-8 on the season, while the Bison fall to 3-6-1. |
|
|
|
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East Conference play when it hosts Western Connecticut on Saturday, Oct. 8 (1 p.m.). |
