Battling Bishops Blank Lady Jackets
The Defiance College women's soccer team was shutout against Ohio Wesleyan University by a score of 4-0. The loss drops the Lady Yellow Jackets' overall record to 3-8.
The Battling Bishops got off to a quick start when Elizabeth Riggio scored from around 25 yards out in the 28th minute to give OWU a 1-0 lead.
Just six minutes later the Bishops struck again when Ally Miess sent in a cross that connected with Makinzie Krebsbach who nodded in the games second goal and gave Wesleyan a 2-0 advantage going into the halftime break.
OWU added two more second half goals to complete its 4-0 victory over DC.
Defiance is back in action tomorrow when it hosts Ursuline College at 4:00 p.m. The game will be played at Winsper-Knobel Memorial Field.
