Three Blue Jays Earn All-SLIAC Women's Soccer Recognition
Fulton, Mo. - Three Westminster College women's soccer players earned all-conference recognition as voted on by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches.
Senior Katie Denning (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City), who scored three goals this season, has been named to the second team. Sophomore Megan Gunnels (Ozark, Mo./Ozark),who led the team with four goals and two-game-winning goals, was a second-team selection, and junior Chelsea Cole (Nixa, Mo./Nixa) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Blue Jay women finished the 2011 season with a 3-13 record, but rebounded late in the season to win three of their last five matches.
