STICKLE SCORES GAME-WINNER OVER WITTENBERG

Senior midfielder Jenna Stickle scored on a penalty kick with just over two minutes remaining to lead the Moravian College women's soccer team to a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Wittenberg (Ohio) University in the second day of the Messiah College Classic Saturday.

The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the tenth minute when forward Cassandra Howell scored on shot from 15-yards out after bouncing off the post. The Greyhounds tied the contest at 1-1 in the 34th minute when freshman midfielder/forward Kayla Pagnani finished off a shot that had originally been saved.

Wittenberg went back in front in the 41st minute when midfielder/forward Allie Keefer headed in a corner kick from defender Kelly Brothers.

Moravian tied the match in the 74th minute when junior defender Eileen Black headed in a corner kick from Stickle at the near post. Stickle's goal would give Moravian its second straight win to start the season.

The Tigers had a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks in the match. Greyhound sophomore goalie Genevieve Chaleff had three saves while Cassie Lythjohan made six saves for Wittenberg.
