Scoreless Tie In California Opener
Concordia tied Chapman (Calif.) 0-0 in double overtime in a game played at UC-Santa Cruz on Saturday. Concordia had several golden chances but were unable to score for the entire 110 minutes.
The tie is the fifth of the season for Concordia which is a school record for most ties in a single season. CC is now 9-1-5 on the season and has not lost in the last seven games.
The Cobbers outshot Chapman 19-8 in overall shots and 7-3 in shots on goal for the game. CC goalie Ali Nelson made three saves to record her league-leading ninth shutout of the season.
