Terriers Down Clippers, 2-0
MACHIAS, ME- Thomas (1-3) defeated University of Maine of Maine-Machias (1-2) in a non-conference women's soccer contest on Sunday afternoon. Kate Thibodeau (Woolwich, Maine) had 15 saves picking up her first shutout of the season.
Goals by Kristi Hilton (Monmouth, Maine) and Jillian Lambert (Dayton, Maine) clinched the victory for the Terriers in their first win of the young season. Kajsa Kaufeldt (Uppsala, Sweden) and Elizabeth Goodall (Oakfield, Maine) picked up assists in the game as well.
The Clippers poured on the pressure throughout the contest, holding a 24-11 shot advantage, but none of the attempts yielded a goal.
Thomas will host Unity College Thursday, Sept. 13 at 4pm in their next contest. The Terriers fell to Unity last season 1-0 on the road.
