More news about: Medaille women's team

BROCKPORT, NY - The Lady Mavs took to the road for a tough test against an unbeaten Brockport State squad.  The Golden Eagles would prove to be too much to handle as they upended Medaille (4-0).

It would be a rough first half for Medaille as Brockport opened the scoring in the 17th minute of play.  They would net another marker six minutes later to take a (2-0) lead.  The Lady Mavs would hold them off the board for nearly twenty minutes but the Golden Eagles tallied their third goal of the half in the 43rd minute to grab a commanding (3-0) lead.

Senior forward Joey Ruderman would test the Brockport keepers as she got off six shots in the game, five of which were on goal.  All told the Golden Eagles outshot Medaille (24 -8) overall and (14-6) on goal.

In the 67th minute Brockport would add their fourth and final goal as they cruised to their fourth win of the season.  Between the posts for Medaille Denay O'Connor played the opening half and stopped seven shots while Chelsea Walker saw her first action in a Medaille uniform, playing the final (45:00) minutes and stopping three shots along the way.

The Lady Mavs fall to (1-5-0) as they get a brief break before heading to Thiel College on Sunday (9/16) for a 4:00pm non-conference match-up with the Tomcats.
