CAMDEN, N.J. – Freshman Niki Augustine scored her first two collegiate goals in leading Allegheny women's soccer to a 2-0 victory over the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden. The Gators spoiled Homecoming for their Jersey-based opponent, while finally capitalizing after another smothering performance on the attack.

The Gators controlled possession for most of the afternoon and closed the game with a commanding, 24-6, shot advantage. But Allegheny was especially fantastic in the second half where it outshot the Scarlet Raptors, 14-0.

Augustine cashed in on her first shot of the day less than two minutes after halftime. Jaymee Wallace set up the finish to trigger a 1-0 lead, while Augustine doubled Allegheny's advantage after being sprung on a breakaway by a pass from rookie back Sarah Shindler in the 62nd minute.

Kylie Mason totaled four saves en route to her fifth clean sheet of the season. Lauren West, who was impressive in keeping the Gators off the board until the second half, finished with 12 saves.

Thirteen different players were credited with at least one shot for Allegheny, which was facing Rutgers-Camden for the first time in program history. Augustine, Emily Byers, Ashley Lehr, Dayna Rowe, and Katrina Gazsi had three shots each to lead the assault.
