Goodall's Last Minute Goal Pushes Terriers Past Presque-Isle

WATERVILLE, ME- Elizabeth Goodall (Oakfield, Maine) scored in the final minute of play to edge the Thomas Terriers (4-10, 1-6 NAC) over University of Maine-Presque Isle (4-8) in a non-conference women's soccer matchup on Saturday afternoon.

Jenn Day (Gardiner, Maine) scored the first goal of the contest at the 10:47 mark on a strike from outside the box for her fifth tally of the season. The goal would hold as the game-winner until Cassie Cyr would beat the Thomas keeper on an assist from Chelsea Beaulieu at 70:50.

The game looked headed for extra time until Goodall would get a perfectly crossed ball from Day in the box, beating the Owls goalie with just 13 seconds left.

Taylor Ussery registered a game high 11 saves in net for Presque-Isle, while her counterpart Kate Thibodeau (Woolwich, Maine) had seven stops.

The Terriers held a 23-12 shot advantage in the win.

Thomas will return to action Wednesday as they host Maine Maritime at 5pm.
