Robe Selected to Appear in Sports Illustrated
NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Mount Saint Mary College freshman Shanice Robe (Valley Stream, N.Y.) has been selected as one of Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" for this week's edition of the national magazine. An online version of the article may be viewed by clicking here.
Shanice is the first Mount student-athlete to appear in Sports Illustrated since February of 2007, when men's basketball star Mike Hoyt also earned a spot as a "Face in the Crowd".
Robe continues to score at a tremendous pace and now leads the NCAA (including Divisions I, II, and III) with 29 goals and 61 points. The freshman has totaled 15 goals and three assists over the course of the team's last six games.
