Brooklyn Breezes Past Medgar, 8-0
Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer Team improved to 3-4-1 (2-3 CUNYAC) with a commanding 8-0 victory over Medgar Evers. With the loss the Cougars fall to 0-5, 0-3 CUNYAC on the season.
Forward Shani Abrahams was the offensive star on the day, earning the hat trick with three goals in the game. Jillian Protin, Sayla Flores, Shani Nakhid-Schuster, Catherine Quinn and Laura Ashley Pfeifer each scored goals for the Bulldogs in the win. For Protin, Nakhid-Schuster, Quinn and Pfeifer it was the first of their college careers.
"We needed this game after a couple tough losses," said Head Coach Patrick Horne. "We encouraged each other and played as a team."
The team will return to action next Saturday when they host the CCNY Beavers at 2 pm.
