Thomas Falls to Lyndon in Season Finale
LYNDON CENTER, VT- Thomas fell to Lyndon in a secured a berth in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women's soccer match Saturday 3-1. With the victory, the Hornets end their regular season with a record of 4-11-1 overall and a mark of 2-6-1 in the NAC. The loss drops Thomas to 4-11-1 and 1-7-1 in league play.
Kajay Rooke gave Lyndon the lead for good at the 38:18 mark of the opening half when she took a touch pass from Emily Strese and drilled a shot into the lower left corner of the net. The Hornets maintained the advantage into intermission before taking a two-goal lead 20 minutes into the second half whenSarah Cornell punched home a cross off the foot of Hilary Bonasera.
