COBLESKILL, N.Y. – Freshman midfielder Sofia Lindevall (Stockholm, Sweden) gave the Gallaudet University women's soccer team a one-goal lead late in the first half Saturday afternoon on the road against SUNY Cobleskill but the Bison could not hold onto the lead and fell to the Fighting Tigers, 2-1, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game.

Lindevall scored late in the first half on a strong ball that glanced off of a defender and found its way into the back of the net. The 44th minute goal brought her season total to three. The Bison lead evaporated quickly, however, as SUNY Cobleskill's Emily Bannister scored two second-half goals. The first came in the 51st minute from right in front of the net when she took a feed from senior forward Kaitlyn Enright and buried the ball into the back of the net. The second tally came 24 minutes later when Bannister took a feed from junior midfielder Andrea Lisk and scored on a breakaway in the 75th minute.

Kara Gulvas, the senior goalkeeper for Gallaudet, played well in net behind a defense that only allowed 14 total shots. The Crown Point, Ind., native made nine saves on 11 shots on goal. Her counterpart for SUNY Cobleskill Bethany Reynolds only needed to make six saves to pick up her second win of the season. Senior forward Johanna Arrigo (Ewing, N.J.) was the leading shot taker for the Bison with four (two shots on goal).
