CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Gallaudet University women's soccer team used a two-goal performance by freshman midfielder Sofia Lindevall (Stockholm, Sweden) to dominate conference foe Wilson College, 4-1, on the road Thursday afternoon. The win snaps Gallaudet's six-game losing streak and gives the Bison their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory of the season.

Lindevall got on the scoreboard in the 35th minute for the first half's lone score to give the Bison a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime. Her second tally came in the game's 79th minute when she took the feed from senior midfielder Maggie Hoyt (Edgecomb, Maine) and buried the ball into the back of the net to bring her season goal total to five. Junior midfielder Monique Balcarcel (Lansing, Mich.) and freshman forward Jessica Nortey (Accra, Ghana) also added scores for Gallaudet in the 49th and 86th minute, respectively.

Senior goalkeeper Kara Gulvas (Crown Point, Ind.) was stellar in net, turning in one of her most impressive performances this season. She only allowed one goal and made a season-high 17 saves despite the fact that the Bison were outshot in the contest, 25-14.

Wilson (2-10, 1-6 NEAC) got on the scoreboard in the 69th minute when Courtney Bernecker scored an unassisted goal to cut the GU lead to one, 2-1.
