DUBUQUE, Iowa – A mid-week, non-conference battle between two teams ranked in the top 20 in NCAA Division III women's soccer ended in a 0-0 double overtime tie on Tuesday, September 18 in Dubuque, Iowa. Veteran head coach Scott Mejia's Augustana team, which just cracked the top-20 in the NCAA Division III national rankings a day ago, played to a 0-0 double overtime tie at 17th ranked Loras.

This game featured a whole lot of defense by the Vikings as sophomore goal keeper Meredith Chew was put to the test by the DuHawks. Loras held a huge 18-7 advantage in shots in the game and Chew came up big with seven saves against the nationally ranked DuHawks. She logged all 110 minutes in the game and three of her saves were of the point-blank variety.

Augustana only managed seven shots, including just four in regulation and then the Vikings got off three in the two extra sessions. The DuHawks held the advantage in corner kicks 9-3.

Augustana, now 5-0-2 overall, will play Greenville at home on Saturday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Thorson-Lucken Field while Loras is now 7-1-1 on the season.
