Second-half rally gives Hamilton 3-3 women's soccer tie at Connecticut
The Hamilton College women's soccer team (3-1-1, 1-1-1 NESCAC) rallied for three goals in the final 31 minutes to escape with a 3-3 overtime tie at Connecticut College in NESCAC women's soccer play Saturday.
The Camels scored three goals in a seven-minute span to carry a 3-0 lead into halftime. Becca Rees '15 scored her second goal of the season, chipping in a rebound of a shot taken by Halle Becker '16 in the 59th minute, to start Hamilton's rally.
Just 98 seconds later, Kendall Daly '17 notched an unassisted goal (her second of 2013) to pull the Continentals within one and with just 3:43 left in regulation, Victoria Freeman '15 completed the comeback by converting a free kick for her team-best fourth goal of the season.
Liza Gergenti '14 stopped four shots as the Continentals remained unbeaten over the last three games.
Hamilton continues NESCAC competition Saturday, hosting Wesleyan in a noon game as part of Hamilton's Fallcoming.
