Brooklyn Sweeps CUNYAC Weekly Awards

Flushing, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer team swept all three weekly awards from the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC), for the week ending September 22nd.

Junior Bergelie Louis was named the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, freshman Jordan Kerwin was named the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week and freshman Jasmine Fermin was named the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Louis, Kerwin and Fermin were all instrumental in leading the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week, including victories against borough foe NYU-Poly (September 16th) and conference rivals York College (September 18th) and Lehman College (September 21st).

Louis started in all three games on the week, tallying four goals for eight points. She scored at least one goal in all three games, including two against York. She also had the game-winner against Lehman.

Kerwin continued her stellar play on the season, racking up five goals and two assists for 12 points on the week. She had a career-game against York, registering a hat-trick, including recording the game-winner. Kerwin also scored twice against NYU-Poly. For Kerwin, this is her third straight week being honored by the CUNYAC, as she named the conference's rookie of the week (9/9) and player of the week (9/16).

Fermin has anchored the BC defense all season long, and continued her strong play this week, starting in all three games. She led the BC defense that held opponents to just eight shots combined on the week.
