Morrisville State women drop 3-0 decision to Abington

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Visiting Morrisville State College women's soccer dropped their first conference match Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 to host Penn State Abington in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action in Philadelphia.

The loss is the first for the Mustangs since September 1st, dropping them to 7-3 overall, 5-1 in NEAC play. Abington improves to 8-2 overall, 5-1 in conference action.

Morrisville State struggled for the first time in seven games to generate offense, totaling just three shots to Abington's 24.

Angela Marriott (Peekskill, N.Y.) recorded the loss for the Mustangs, turning away 11 in 61 minutes of play, before being relieved by Cheyanna Waters (Woodhull, N.Y.) for the final 29. Waters had two saves.

Three Nittany Lions posted scores, two in the second half, including an unassisted tally by Kayla Nolan that proved to be the eventual game winner.

Morrisville State returns to the field Sunday, traveling to Penn State Berks tomorrow.
