Women's soccer falls to Loras
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Simpson women's soccer team held the No. 17 team in the nation in check for 45 minutes before Loras pulled away in the second half for a 7-1 win on Tuesday.
Amber Johnson scored the lone goal for the Storm (2-9-1, 0-1-1 Iowa Conference), who trailed the preseason conference favorites 2-0 at halftime.
Danielle Vujovic and Mary O'Boyle scored two goals apiece for the Duhawks (9-2-1, 2-0).
Simpson makes the short trip to Des Moines for non-conference contest against AIB on Thursday, Oct. 3. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
