The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced on Wednesday morning that two University of Redlands women's soccer players received Division III All-West-Region recognition, with sophomore midfielderSavannah Laursen (Boise, ID) landing on the Second Team, and senior goalkeeper Sabrina Grandke-Bawab (Kirkland, WA) gaining Third-Team laurels.  With the awards, Redlands is one of four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) institutions to receive All-Region accolades for the 2013 season.

Garnering Second-Team All-Region honors for the second time in as many years at the U of R, Laursen led the Bulldogs in every offensive category, racking up five goals and five assists for a team-best 15 points.  She also tallied 64 shots on the campaign, with 31 going on goal.  During a three-game stretch in the middle of the 2013 campaign, Laursen found the back of the net and assisted on a Bulldog goal in each contest en route to leading Redlands to a pair of victories against tough SCIAC competition.

The award marks the inaugural selection to an All-Region team for Grandke-Bawab, as she served as the team's primary goalkeeper and experienced a career-best season.  While starting in every contest between the pipes for the Maroon and Gray, she racked up over 1,100 minutes played and allowed just 11 goals throughout the season.  Grandke-Bawab registered a 0.89 goals-against-average on the year with a .820 save percentage, while tallying 50 saves in the process.  Moreover, she helped the Bulldogs notch six shutouts during the 2013 campaign.
