Chris Flint named Women's Soccer Coach at Johnson & Wales
Johnson & Wales University Associate Dean of Athletics Mary Graf today announced that Chris Flint has been named the new head women's soccer coach.
"I am pleased to announce that we have our new Head Women's Soccer Coach on board - Welcome Chris Flint! We're so happy and lucky to have him with us. He has proven successful at all levels of the game and will no doubt lead our program in the right direction!"
Flint comes to Johnson & Wales from Bryant University, where he was the Head Women's Soccer Coach for the past 15 years. He complied a record of 138 - 130 - 28 as the manager of the Bulldogs.
Under his watch, the Bulldogs boasted 25 all-conference players and 21 all-region selections, as well as two NE-10 Defensive Players of the Year. His 2001 team was the first Bryant women's soccer team to earn a national ranking and an NCAA berth.
Throughout his Bryant career, Flint earned two Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the year awards and two Regional Coach of the Year accolades. He was also named the NEWISA Coach of the Year in 2001.
Prior to Bryant College, Flint was the head women's soccer coach for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in a four year stretch, and also a graduate student assistant coach at Springfield College for a year.
Flint was a stand out player for Colby College, leading the Mules in scoring three out of the four years he played. He was an All New England selection his junior year.
