Rauscher Set To Take Over Women’s Soccer Program at Mount Saint Vincent

Riverdale, N.Y. – College of Mount Saint Vincent Director of Athletics and Recreation John 'Jay' Butler has announced the appointment of Nathan Rauscher to the position of Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Women's Soccer Coach effective July 1, 2015. Rauscher most recently served as an assistant coach with the Men's Soccer program at Hamilton College.

"The College of Mount Saint Vincent is happy to welcome Coach Rauscher to the Dolphin Family.  We believe Nathan is ready to take our program to the next level.  He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CMSV and his enthusiasm and passion will be contagious to all," stated Butler on the appointment.

Butler continued, "He has developed a network of recruiting contacts around the tristate region and has the personality to recruit the best and brightest. Coach Rauscher inherits a core group of returners and has the necessary skills to lead our team to a conference championship. We look forward to supporting Coach Rauscher in his inaugural season at the helm of the CMSV Women's Soccer Program."

Rauscher comes to Riverdale with a wealth of coaching experience, spanning High School, Club and Collegiate levels. Rauscher got his start in coaching at North Carroll High School in 2004 and moved on to take over the Hammond High School Girls Varsity Program in 2009.

At the club level, Rauscher served as the Great Experience Soccer Academy Baltimore Director from 2008-12 and served as a Baltimore Bays Head Coach from 2007-13. Rauscher also has experience working with Maryland ODP, serving as a women's coach from 2012-14.

At the collegiate level, Rauscher held the Assistant Coach position with the women's program at Goucher College (Md.) from 2012-14. In that capacity he served as a defensive and goalie coach and helped the Gophers set five single season records, including goals against average, shutouts, save percentage and consecutive shutout minutes, on their way to tying their record for most wins in a season.

Rauscher transitioned to the men's program at Hamilton for the 2014 season where he assisted in the day-to-day running of a Division III program. At Hamilton, he was responsible for all aspects of recruiting and organized the program's community service activities.

Rauscher holds two NSCAA certificates, including an Advanced National Diploma and a Goalkeeping Level II Diploma.

A 2003 graduate of Hamilton College, Rauscher earned his Masters of Education in Athletic Leadership and Administration from Goucher in 2014.
