Tech Offense Breaks Through in Win
Rockford, Illinois- The Illinois Tech women (6-5-1, 3-1-1 NACC) found their shooting boots, and absolutely dominated Rockford (0-13-1, 0-7-0 NACC). In the previous match, Tech dominated, but couldn't find the back of the net. The last game saw the Scarlet Hawks pepper the opposing net 24 times, with 9 shots on goal. In this game, the Scarlet Hawks had 24 shots on goal, and 43 shots total.
Leading the attack was Cossette Thompson, who had 4 goals and 1 assist. She was helped out by Nicole Fajardo, who had 2 goals and 2 assists. Credit must also be given to the defense, who held their opponents to no goals for the second game in a row. They upped the effort, however, and didn't even allow Rockford to get a single shot on goal.
